What does the Lumenier ParaGuard PRO protect against?

The ParaGuard PRO incorporates a series of protective features designed to prevent accidents and protect both your batteries and equipment:

• Protects against different cell counts being plugged in together
  If you accidentally connect batteries with different cell counts, like a 3S and 4S, the self-resetting fuse bus will trip, protecting both the board and batteries from a high surge during connection. You can simply correct the mistake and resume charging.

• Prevents incorrect balance cable connections
  If a balance cable is inserted incorrectly, a short circuit is prevented by the self-resetting fuse. Simply unplug and reconnect the cable properly, and charging can continue without issue.

• Protects against power surges
  In the event of a high current surge, such as during a battery failure, the self-resetting fuses will protect your equipment from damage. This feature also safeguards against accidental connections of batteries with different voltages (like a 2S and 3S together, although this should never be done intentionally).

Safety is Key!

Parallel charging safety should always be a priority. Never leave a charging battery unattended, and always double-check the cell voltages of your batteries before connecting them in parallel. Ensure that the voltage difference between batteries is no more than 0.1V for safe charging.
